Early Roots

My love for skincare started when I was a child. I would mix homemade masks with whatever I could find in the kitchen or garden, experimenting just to see how it would make my skin feel. By the time I was in my twenties, I had already faced a long battle with cystic acne, multiple biopsies for suspicious moles, keratosis pilaris, and even melanoma.

Those challenges forced me to pay close attention to my skin in a way that many people my age did not. What I didn’t realize at the time was that all of those struggles were guiding me toward what would one day become Seraphic Skincare.

The Spark

In my thirties, shortly after becoming a mom, I faced another melanoma diagnosis. It was a frightening time, but also a turning point. With a background in design, health biology, and business management, I decided to become a licensed esthetician. At first, it was simply a way to help heal my own skin, but very quickly it became a way to help others too.

I opened Seraphic Skincare as an independent service provider, offering facials, waxing, corrective treatments, and client education. My dream was never to create a product line. My goal was simple: to help as many people as possible while also being present for my family.

Discovering a Tradition

One day, I came across a method of traditional exfoliation that was rarely discussed in modern skincare and completely absent from my esthetician training. It required no chemicals, no downtime, and the results were immediate.

I first experienced it at a local Korean spa and I was amazed. My skin had never felt so smooth or looked so fresh. The secret was a unique fabric called viscose. When combined with softened skin from warm soaking, this fabric grips and buffs away dead skin and impurities safely and effectively. This technique had been used for generations in other countries, yet very few people here even knew it existed.

The esthetician in me knew right away that I had to share it. Late at night, after my family was asleep, I began designing an elevated, gentler, and more ergonomic version of the traditional tool. That became the Original Premium Exfoliating Mitt, created so people could experience these same results at home, without needing a spa visit.

From One Mitt to a Movement

At first, I gave the mitts to friends, family, and clients. Their reactions were unforgettable. They sent photos of bathtubs full of dead skin, glowing reviews, and messages full of excitement, all asking the same thing: “Where has this been all my life?”

When we launched on Amazon in 2019, the response was immediate. What started as one mitt has grown into a full line of head to toe exfoliation products. From body mitt variations to unique tools like our Premium Exfoliating Facial Mitt and Bikini Buffer, every product is built on that same transformative fabric that first changed my skin.

Today, Seraphic is expanding into retailers nationwide. We are selling in 14 countries through Amazon and preparing to launch our men’s collection. Our mission is ambitious but clear: to make Seraphic Skincare a trusted name in homes, spas, and salons around the world.
